The story of BAUX Acoustic Panels

We asked ourselves, how could we create a product
that can be used for large or small spaces, without compromising
the design and acoustic qualities of BAUX Träullit?

This is the story of BAUX Acoustic Panels.

Nature, our source of material and inspiration

You’re never far from the forest in Sweden. For many Swedes, the forest is a place for calm reflection. For us, it’s a source of materials and inspiration. BAUX aspires to bring the calm tranquility and beauty of the forest into large urban spaces. So where better to showcase our latest creation, BAUX Acoustic Panels, than the forest?

We hatched a plan to create an installation in the woodlands just outside of Österbymo. The wood wool from spruce trees that grow in these forests is bonded with cement in our factory nearby to create environmentally friendly tiles with excellent acoustic properties and marvelous natural insulation.

But the real magic of BAUX Acoustic Panels is its ability to rejuvenate large spaces with transformational designs.

Work started early one October morning while the mist was still clinging to the evergreens. In Sweden the days get shorter quickly in the fall. The installation uses BAUX Acoustic Panels, each measuring 116x58cm. The ease and speed with which these tiles go up meant a team of four workers was able to enjoy some fika (coffee and cakes) and still finish the job before darkness set in.

To document this project we turned to photographer Jonas Lindstrom. Jonas has been capturing Swedish landscapes and culture since he got his first instamatic camera at the age of 5.

BAUX Acoustic Wood Wool Panels is about transforming large spaces with remarkable designs. We wanted the images to speak of a workspace nestled within the forest.

Think bigger with BAUX Acoustic Wood Wool Panels

BAUX Acoustic Panels are made from of the same natural materials as BAUX Träullit Tiles – wood wool, cement and water. The difference is that we’ve created larger building tiles, measuring 116×58cm, so it’s even easier to design beautiful sustainable acoustic designs for large-scale spaces.

Loved by nature

BAUX Acoustic Panels is an environment-friendly, recyclable material made from wood wool, cement and water. The natural components together provide many functional characteristics.

LET'S BUILD!

With 5 patterns and 20 colors to choose from, you’ll have all the elements you need to rejuvenate the largest of spaces and benefit from lower energy costs, a reduced environmental impact and a stable indoor climate.
